TSS has assisted a variety of public agencies in the development of environmental and permitting regulations and mitigation plans for offsetting potential adverse environmental impacts. TSS prides itself in its ability to identify and avoid potential environmental problems for its clients (i.e., “deal-killing” issues). Our staff has extensive experience working with environmental regulators and other groups to mitigate existing environmental impacts of facilities and land management practices.
TSS personnel have an in-depth understanding of the regulatory and legislative process. Our consultants have implemented several major pieces of legislation for both the energy and environmental fields and have presented testimony to legislative bodies. Our principals have also supplied litigation support and acted as expert witnesses on a variety of environmental issues including waste/used oil, power plant ash, auto shredder fluff, hazardous waste classification, and the California Surface Mining and Reclamation Act.
