Permitting and Compliance Strategies
TSS permitting and compliance specialists assist a wide variety of clients in obtaining air, water, and land use permits and in developing compliance tools and strategies to maintain cost-effective compliance. Over the years, TSS has developed highly successful approaches to working with local, state, and federal environmental regulatory agencies. These include preparing permitting plans which not only assist in determining the “critical path” agency, i.e., the agency which has the most potential permitting and regulatory constraints, but also in developing a permitting timeline. Our staff conducts meetings with principal agencies to determine and define permitting needs and then recommends the appropriate approach and execution of the permitting plan to minimize time and expense. Permitting strategies have also involved working with regulatory agencies to determine the optimal approach given particular agency constraints and the client’s objectives.
After permits are obtained and a given project is in operation, TSS personnel can continue to assist in monitoring compliance requirements. This may include suggesting and obtaining modifications to permits to allow smoother and easier compliance.
