Project Title: Forest Biomass Removal Using Roll Off Container Technology Client: Coquille Indian Tribe Location: Southwest Oregon
Forested landscapes in southwest Oregon are noted for mountainous terrain and challenging transportation infrastructure.Biomass removal in this region will require innovative collection and transport technology as current forest road systems were designed to support log trucks and not conventional chip vans.TSS has been retained by the Coquille Indian Tribe to assist them with a two phase approach to address this challenge.Phase I was development of a grant proposal to secure matching funds to purchase roll off container equipment.Phase II is to assist the Tribe in design and implementation of the roll off container technology.The Phase I grant proposal was successful, equipment purchased and Phase II is currently being implemented.
