Minnesota Power is developing renewable energy projects to meet the State of Minnesota’s Renewable Portfolio Standard. TSS has been retained by Minnesota Power to conduct a biomass fuel availability assessment to support the development of a commercial-scale biomass power generation project in Northern Minnesota. In addition, TSS will utilize the findings of the assessment to provide a comprehensive fuel procurement plan for the long-term purchase of biomass fuel meeting not only project specifications but state and federal policies and statutes.
